I decided to write a little bit about my favorite travel accessories. There is so much more than I take with me than just my camera and my lenses. I like to travel as light as possible, but sometimes it is not possible.
My backpack of choice is the Shimoda Design 60L backpack, I have had many bags along the years, but this one is by far my favorite, as a hiker I always need a modular system that is well designed, strong and light at the same time, the ability to be able to adjust the shoulders straps was vital.

I love watches, and I love my Garmin Fenix 3, I know the watch is a bit outdated, but I didn’t see enough changing on the Fenix 5 to make a change, I track all my hikes with this watch, and I use it for all types of sports, you can also use it to geotag your images.
I’m a backup freak, so I always want to have my work backed up in several places, so every evening after a shoot, I will backup all my images to my laptop and also to my Gnarbox, an external HDD that doesn’t need a computer to backup too, Gnarbox is water resistant and also shockproof. Currently, I’m using the V1, but the V2 should be released very soon, and it should be a considerable improvement, looking forward to getting my hands on it.
The Dell XPS 9370 is my laptop of choice, and it has a quad-core processor and 8gb of memory, I wish I had the 16gb version. Also, it is not the 4k touch screen version. I usually don’t edit on my laptop, so I don’t need the most powerful laptop around, this is a great laptop the size it’s great, the battery life is outstanding and having a quad-core always help in case I need to do some editing on the go.
Dual Charger
Unfortunately, Sony doesn’t give you a proper charger with their cameras, you do get a charger, but you need to use your camera to charge the batteries, I hate doing that, so I just got a cheap dual charger on, so I can charge two batteries at the same time.
Yes, I carry around a first aid kit with me almost all the time when I go shooting, I currently have a Lifestystems mountain first aid kit, while is not the lightest around I carry this one when I have a bigger group with me and a different one when I’m alone.
The Sony WH-1000MX2 are my headphones of choice while I travel, having noise canceling headphones with the number of trips I have a year is vital not to go insane, if I bought new Headphones now I would pick the new, improved 1000MX3.
